01 What we do

Tree care for every corner of your garden

Whatever's outgrown its spot — a towering conifer, a tired hedge or a stubborn old stump — we'll sort it safely and leave the garden better than we found it.

How we approach a tree

Most trees don't need felling.

They need someone who knows where to cut.

That's thirty years of knowing which is which.

Why choose us

The tidy, straightforward way to sort your trees

Over 30 years' experience

A local, well-established team who treat every job — a single branch or a whole tree — with the same care.

Preserve before you remove

Where a reduction or prune will solve the problem, we'll say so — we'd rather save the tree than fell it.

Gardens left tidy

We chip, sweep and clear as we go. You get your garden back — not a pile of brash.

Straightforward quotes

A clear price before we start — no pressure, no jargon and no surprises on the day.

Local knowledge

We know Plymouth's streets, tight terraces and coastal weather — and plan each job around them.

Responsible green waste

Branches chipped and reused, logs offered back to you, and everything else removed properly.

What customers say

Kind words from Plymouth gardens

Dave and Rory did a fantastic job and cleared up well after themselves. The neighbours have commented how clean and tidy it was left. The only problem is that our supply of biscuits is now badly depleted!
Colin, Tavistock
Thank you so much for a very professional and friendly service. You arrived as arranged, did just what I wanted and cleared up all debris. I am most impressed and will be happy to recommend you to friends.
Mary B.
Fantastic job done on apple tree by Paul. I could not be more pleased. Many thanks.
Anne, Dousland

Good to know

Questions Plymouth homeowners ask us

Do I need permission to remove a tree in my garden?

Often not — but some trees are protected by a Tree Preservation Order or sit in a conservation area, and removing those without consent can lead to fines. We can't give legal advice, so check with Plymouth City Council (or your local authority) before work starts, or ask us and we'll help you find out what applies to your tree.

How do I get a quote?

Give us a ring or fill in the quote form with a few details about the job. We'll arrange a time to come and look at the tree, then give you a clear, fixed price — free, and with no obligation.

Do you take away branches and garden waste?

Yes. We chip branches on site and remove the waste as part of the job, leaving the garden swept and tidy. If you'd like logs or wood chip for your own garden, just say — we're happy to leave them stacked neatly.

How much does stump grinding cost?

It depends on the stump's size, species and how easy it is to get a grinder to it. Tell us roughly how wide it is and how we'd reach it, and we'll come and give you a clear, fixed price.
